Penn State researchers are exploring unknown territory when it comes to gambling in the state of Pennsylvania. Glenn Sterner, assistant professor of criminal justice at Penn State Abington and coordinator of the Greater Philadelphia Office of the Criminal Justice Research Center, has been awarded a contract through the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs to assess impacts of interactive, online gaming in Pennsylvania.
The multi-campus research team of Ashkan Negahban, Omar Ashour and Sabahattin Gokhan Ozden received a three-year, $831,276 grant for research on immersive simulation-based learning models.
